Catering Connects is a referral service that connects two groups: event planners looking for catering, and caterers looking for qualified leads. We match event planners with independent, vetted local caterers. We do not prepare, provide, or cater food ourselves; catering services are provided by the independent caterers in our network.
This policy applies to both audiences: if you are an event planner submitting an event request, and if you are a caterer applying to join our network or requesting a demo.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically when you use our Services. What we collect depends on whether you are an event planner or a caterer.
If you are an event planner
When you submit an event request, we may collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your mobile phone number
- Your email address
- Event details such as event date, estimated headcount, location/area, and food preference
- Any other information you choose to provide when communicating with us
If you are a caterer
When you apply to join our network or request a demo, we may collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your business name
- Your business phone number and email address
- Your service area, city, and the types of events and cuisine you offer
- Information about your business relevant to qualification, and any other information you choose to provide
Information collected automatically (all visitors)
When you visit our site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. - If you are a planner: match you with a local caterer for your event and facilitate that introduction
- If you are a caterer: evaluate your application, set up your demo or onboarding, and deliver matched event referrals to you

- Verify and qualify your request
- Operate, maintain, and improve our Services
- Measure and improve our advertising, including conversion tracking
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. Text messaging and phone contact (SMS consent)
By submitting your phone number through our forms, you consent to receive calls and text messages (including via automated technology) from Catering Connects regarding your request. If you are an event planner, this also includes contact from the caterer we match you with, regarding your event. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts will not necessarily remove you from phone or email contact; to opt out of those, contact us at team@bluevinemarketing.com.
5. How we share your information
We share your information in the following ways:
- Planner-to-caterer matching. If you are an event planner, the core of our Service is connecting you with one local caterer. We share your contact and event details with that matched caterer so they can reach out to you with a quote. We do not resell your information to multiple caterers.
- Caterer information. If you are a caterer, we use your information to operate your account and deliver referrals to you. We do not share your business application details with other caterers.
- With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run our Services, such as hosting, customer-relationship management, communications, and analytics providers.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Catering Connects, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money.
